March of the Dwarves

The Dwarves from Undermountain set out from their brewery to search the ruins of the city.  They happened upon what looked to be an unsuspecting mausoleum.  However, the female witches arrived nearly at the same time.  With many a treasure horde laying scattered around the area, both parties went to work to get what they could before getting the hell out of there.  However, as the witches came to find out, the two parties weren't quite alone.  The bones of the undead kept creeping up out of the mausoleum to slow down the adventurer's progress, but they seemed to be more focused on the ladies than the stout dwarves.  The dwarven apprentice fell in combat, but only suffered a mild crushed arm in the process.  This, however, gave the rest of the dwarven party the time they needed to procure a good number of the special treasures that lay near the house of the undead.

On the way back to their brewery, the dwarves took what they thought would be a shortcut across a decrepit old bridge.  However, on the other side of this bridge were the Elves of the Fanciful Coast!  Still licking their wounds, the dwarves did what they could to hurry across and avoid the elvish missile attacks by magically constructing enough walls to segment the whole of Felstad in half.  However, a giant worm again knocked the poor apprentice unconscious for the remainder of the battle, however, he was able to recover with no injury this time.

After this final encounter, the Dwarves were able to make it back to their base of operations and Garrik learned quite a few new tricks throughout his venture.  With materials scaveneged he was able to set up a workshop in the brewery to help with his latest construction project…

Setting up shop

After their first encounter with the other parties that have made their way to Frostgrave, the Dwarves from Undermountain set to establish a forward camp within the city.  They say certain animals instinctively know where water is, and the same is true for the Dwarves… if the water were beer.  A rundown old brewery had been found and the dwarves began work on renovations to make it a suitable home, thus was born the Grudgebearer Brewery.

Undermountain dwarves are famous for their hospitality, even to foes in times of war, and Garrik is no exception to this.  His brew is for any and all that have the coin for it, and his brewery/microtavern is welcome to any that wish to sit and have a pint.  They may be foes on the battlefield, but inside everyone is a friend.  Just don't cause a ruckus if you know what's good for ya!

They Were Not Prepared
Paragons Vs Daughters

Settling in fast, the Daughters established their base Svidrif tårn (Scorched Tower) and at once set out to uncover more mysteries of the long frozen city. Late into their second day, Freya led her girls into the ruins of what looked to be an old crumbled museum. Little did she know the Paragons of the Storm had scouts already in place, and at the first notice the entire war band came running.

The two parties, stubborn to relinquish their first findings, squared off and in moments it became a mad dash for the treasure that stood so enticingly in the middle of the ruins. The daughters reached the treasure first, which was surprising, since elves were known for their speed and grace. That day must have been to cold for their fragile bodies, but did nothing to waver their hunger for knowledge and loot. Skaga grabbed the first treasure of the day, but what came next was nothing short of horrifying.

Behind each treasure stood an imposing statue, of what looked to be some type of legendary warrior of old. Unbeknown to the two war bands, when the treasures were picked up, the statues woke up too. One after another the statues came to life, attacking anything and everything that was close enough to it. One of the daughters fell to a wild swing of the statues, and another went down to a precise shot in the back from an elven crossbow. Both parties were caught off guard by this sudden interruption and scrambled out of the area as fast as they could with what little treasure they could hold on to. None the less the old crumbled museum has been marked and noted and there is still plenty of treasure left to be found.

Arrival at Felstad

During the night three wizards happened upon the ancient city of Felstad – now known by the surrounding taverns and locals as Frostgrave, and started to seek their fortunes.  As morbid as possible, even in this ruined husk of a once great empire, the three happened upon each other in one of Felstad's many graveyards.

The elves of the Fanciful Coast  used their superior speed to try and out-run the others to victory, while in the process did what they could to try and take down as many of the opposing party's members as possible.  They even went so far as to knock out the infamous hero known only as "Dwarven Hood".

The Daughters of Blood seemed to fair well enough for themselves by taking a staggering lead on obtaining the treasures that were seen, however, they seemed to falter once they met the wrong end of a dwarven warhammer.  In addition to this, it seemed that the girls were in a prolonged battle with the elves to see who was truly more beautiful.

The stoic dwarves had some of the worst luck of all.  Initially only obtaining a single treasure for themselves, and having nearly all of the hirelings get knocked out in battle, it was a very nice turn of events when one of the Daughter's treasure haulers was shot down by elven magic.  This gave the Dwarven apprentice, Adnir Stoneshaper, the chance to get a truly heroic teleportation spell off and grab the treasure for the dwarves.

After the snow had settled, each warband made off with 3 treasures each, and perhaps a little more respect for their newfound adversaries…

Welcome to the frozen city...

Felstad, as it was once known, has seen better days.  Cursed by winter and magic and all manner of misgivings, the once beautiful city is now but a cold husk of its former self.  The only walking denizens now are those that have either passed on to the next life, or ready to you there in order to fill their bellies.  Now bold wizards and brave (or stupid) adventurers make their way thru the crumbling ruins to find riches and power, and try to avoid a painful bloody death.  If you're lucky, you will leave this city, if you're very lucky you will be alive when you do.  Welcome to the chance for gold, welcome to the chance for adventure.  Welcome to Frostgrave…

On the misty horizon of the city borders, unknowingly standing atop the unmarked graves of countless adventurers before them, stand 4 small adventuring parties, each lead by a master of the arcane arts.  Little do they know of what stands before them.  Riches?  Power?  A fate worse than death?  Only time will tell…
